     We had an amazing week of spring weather here in Northern Virginia and that means new things are showing up at the farm market!  The micro greens are in at Shenandoah Seasonal!  I found some sunflower shoots and pea shoots.  I bought the last sprouting broccoli of the day too.  I also got some red chard and spring salad greens.  I can't wait to play with the micro greens!

     Here is the first thing I did when I got home with the sun shoots.  I made an appetizer plate by adding some goat brie and sprouted pumpkin seeds, then I drizzled everything with garlic infused olive oil.  I included the sources of my ingredients in the recipe.  Be sure to check out your local farm markets for spring shoots!  See the Full Recipe for Sunflower Shoots with Pumpkin Seeds and Goat Brie.

     At Dancing Cow Farm's tent I picked up my reserved Pork Fish.  What is a pork fish you say?  It is a pork tenderloin cut that is long and skinny. It actually looks like a fish!  I smoke it on a Big Green Egg!  Here is the Full Recipe for Smoked Pork Tenderloin.
